We can offer you some flexibility of work hours to suit your lifestyle.You will be supported by the Clinic Manager and be a valued member of our team.
We have an experienced interdisciplinary team with a vision of growth within the region.
You will work within the pain management and training for independence services supporting a diverse range of clients across the lifespan of their injuries and clinical presentations, such as persistent pain, adjustment to physical injury, anxiety, low mood, and trauma.The role involves completing psychological assessments, providing evidence-based psychological input, and communicating with the team to help our clients make the most out of their lives.Key Tasks:Carry out thorough assessments and make recommendations with sound clinical reasoningProvide written and verbal summaries of assessments, with clear treatment goals and rationalesProvide effective psychology treatment to TBI Health clients Collaborate with members of the MDTResponsible for ensuring all contract clinical reports and referrer letters are completed at an acceptable standard within contracted timeframesAttending meetings and trainingBenefits of joining TBI HealthFor your ongoing commitment and passion to TBI Health, you will be able to access the benefits below:Sign on bonus and relocation package will be considered (T&C's will apply)Flexibility in work hoursComprehensive internal training and support around working with people with persistent pain and injuries Reimbursement for Annual Practicing Certificate, Professional membership, and Indemnity InsuranceSubsidised health insurance with Southern Cross (when working 20+ hours per week)Opportunity to grow into supervision, training, quality, or management rolesSeveral training sessions during the year focused on teaching how to incorporate Maori tikanga in your role appropriatelyBirthday Leave (when working 20+ hours per week)Annual wellbeing allowance which is currently valued at $250 if you are employed for 20 or more hours per week or $100 for employees who work under 20 hours per week.About YouYou will be a qualified Psychologist with a minimum of two years experience working in healthcare.Substantial orientation, training, and support will be provided.To be successful in this role you will have:Relevant qualification in Psychology, and current registration with the New Zealand Psychologists Board as a PsychologistCurrent Annual Practicing Certificate, Full Professional Body Membership and Full Indemnity InsuranceAbility to work well in a multi-disciplinary teamCompassion, respect for diversity, and a clear sense of values and ethics are keyHighly organised and efficient time-management skillsComply with quality standards including accurate and timely note keepingAbility to work with a variety of contracts and clientsAbout the Whangarei TeamOur team is like a whanau, join our close-knit, fun, and laidback team at Whangarei Clinic who are extremely passionate about healthcare!
We have a NEW clinic that has access to excellent rehab facilities and is within easy walking distance of cafes and shops.
Our team currently consists of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, an Exercise Consultant, and our amazing Clinic Administrator.You will be part of a team that has achieved some great things in the equity space.
We continue to increase the cultural capability of the team and build new networks in the community with Maori health providers and local iwi.
