This is a permanent full-time role based in our Palmerston North Office.
As a Psychologist, you will play a critical role in our region's Learning Support team by:
Identifying patterns or contributing factors that may be influencing learning, wellbeing, and behaviour.Working collaboratively with a team around the child, including educators, parents, caregivers, and whanau, to enhance understanding about the child and their behaviours.Providing appropriate in-depth specialist assessment and analysis for collaboratively planned, evidence-informed interventions.Facilitating access to wider services and support, in response to individual needs.Providing professional support and guidance to schools, teachers, and families and building the capacity of those who are best placed to support the learning of children and young people.Enhancing inclusive practices in schools and other educational settings.Salary range: $82,928 - $117,928 per annum + 3% KiwiSaver. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience. About you | Mohou akeTo be successful in the role, you will need:
A Masters-level tertiary qualification, Post-graduate Diploma in Educational Psychology or Clinical Psychology (or equivalent), New Zealand Psychologist Board registration, and a current Practicing Certificate.A genuine commitment to evidence-based interventions, which demonstrate inclusive education practice and contribute to raising student achievement.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including an ability to sustain productive professional relationships.An ability and willingness to work in collaborative partnership with other professionals, agencies, families, and the sector.Demonstrable knowledge, experience, and skills in supporting children and young people with challenging behaviours.Sensitivity to cultural and ethnic diversity and a commitment to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi.If this opportunity interests you, please submit your cover letter and resume by using the 'apply' button.
