The Auckland Regional Centre for Plastic Reconstructive & Hand Surgery Centre is part of Counties Manukau, bringing cases from across New Zealand for specialised treatment.
We have an exciting part time, fixed term role within the Centre for Plastic for a Registered Clinical or Health Psychologist, focusing primarily on cleft and craniofacial clients at Middlemore Hospital. You will also be involved in major Head & Neck Surgery and other Skin Cancer cases as deemed appropriate. The psychologist role covers both outpatients and inpatients. The focus is on supporting patients and their families through treatment and rehabilitation, as well as liaising with, and educating staff.
Previous experience in working with people with these conditions or related fields would be an advantage, but specific training opportunities will also be provided. The role would include provision of direct clinical services to patients of the service and their family/whaanau/ significant others, liaison with other Counties Manukau services, and support services for staff, as well as service development input for this service.
Essential:
Eligible to register or registered in a Clinical or Health scope with the NZ Psychology Board
Current Annual Practising Certificate with the NZPB
Full, clean driver's license
