Prosthodontist | Part Time

Details of the offer

Our Purpose
The Hauora a Waha Hospital Dental Service at Christchurch Hospital in Waitaha Canterbury systematically plans, funds, and delivers care to almost 600,000 people that live in the Canterbury region. We are a world leader in the delivery of integrated health care. Our main focus is placing people (staff and patients alike) at the centre of everything we do.

The staff who work at Hospital Dental are comprised of dentists, dental technicians, dental assistants, and administrators. The service provides care to people who are medically compromised, people who have a physical and/or intellectual disability, and children who need to have their dental treatment under general anaesthetic.

We are a tertiary referral centre for the West Coast and Nelson and Marlborough regions.

The Role

We are seeking someone to join us in a part-time permanent position working 8 hours a week.

You will have experience or an interest in developing skills to provide care for medically compromised patients (patients with head and neck cancers and oral-facial abnormalities). Experience providing implant-supported solutions for head and neck oncology patients would be preferred. The ideal candidate would also be involved in guiding paediatric and special needs specialists in tailoring and providing care for patients' complex restorative needs.

You must be eligible for registration with the Dental Council of New Zealand to practice.
