Although this role is advertised as full-time, we will consider part-time, job share and alternative working pattern proposals where possible.

Where and when you work is flexible depending on the demands of your role, our customers' needs and your individual work preference (as agreed with your manager).
Our offices are based in Seaham and Bishop Auckland and although we work flexibly, it is envisaged that this role will require both an offsite and onsite presence as per business need when required.
About the Role The Training Specialist (Property Repairs) will coordinate the delivery of essential health and safety operational training for trade operatives and technical colleagues in the Property Repairs Directorate. Be responsible for the end-to-end process of identifying the required training, booking in training and recording and monitoring attendance.
Provide necessary standard health and safety training that the Property Repairs Team require including, but not limited to, first time training, annual refreshers and inductions for new staff members.
Maintain a range of systems and Property Repairs health and safety training records in the organisation's Learning Management System, producing appropriate and timely reports that meet business needs and related administration and directorate support.
The Successful Candidate Will: Be responsible for developing and implementing the operational delivery of Property Repair's health and safety and relevant technical training programmes, including the effective management of all resources required to deliver excellent services while optimising performance, cost and risk.
Design and develop training plans and programs (outsourced or in-house) for all health and safety Property Repairs related training and plan the delivery of training throughout the year.
Advise on the most appropriate training delivery methods (simulations, mentoring, on the job training, professional development classes etc).
Develop and implement training procedural guides, manuals and induction training processes including the design of educational aids and materials, ensuring they are aligned to believe housing's learning principles.
Contribute to the development of a robust succession plan for property repairs colleagues, in collaboration with the People Team and the Culture Team.
Work with internal and third-party key stakeholders to develop a strategic partnership to maximise training opportunities within the wider industry.
