Project Quantity Surveyor

Newly created role in Christchurch, with new projects starting in 2024 my client is recruiting a Project Quantity Surveyor to take on an autonomous role working on projects in the $20m to $50m space. Start the year with a fresh challenge in a young and social team with secure work and long term opportunities.  The Role This role will support procurement and letting of contracts and then manage the financial and contract work during construction, this includes analysis and reporting, value engineering, and contract administration  A key part of the role will be to work closely with clients, consultants and subbies to identify cost risks, problem solve and look for value engineering opportunities.  Design Build work offers a great opportunity to work collaboratively on projects which are design and planned well. Ideal Experience Related QS qualifications and several years Quantity Surveying experience on large building projectsNZ contract knowledge preferredExperience on a range of trades from structures & building services through to finishesA positive team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skillsHappy to work on site and in the office We will consider more experienced candidates who are seeking an autonomous role within a social and positive team environment.
