The Role This hybrid Project Manager/Mechanical Engineer role will allow an engineering "all-rounder" to thrive, playing a crucial role in supporting the Tauriko manufacturing operations and be an integral part of the Engineering Projects Team. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assist in the delivery of the mechanical portion of projects and provide day-to-day engineering technical support to the Tauriko site operations as required. Your key responsibilities will include and not be limited to: Project Support: Assist in delivering the mechanical aspects of projects and provide technical expertise to support site operations.Contractor Management: Plan, schedule, and supervise contractor work, ensuring compliance with budget and Winstone Wallboards' standards.Capital Works: Manage project budgets, monitor costs, and report on project status and any deviations.Health, Safety, & Environment: Ensure safe operation of equipment, adherence to safety protocols, and compliance with environmental and site requirements. About You As a self-starter, your ability to "get things done" will be highly valued at Winstone Wallboards, and with your engineering expertise and experience, you will be well-equipped to solve a range of complex problems. We're also looking for: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related disciplineAt least 5 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment, including hands-on experience in project design, feasibility, cost estimating, installation and commissioning.Proven understanding of client engagement, project management, and delivering value within a manufacturing context.Skilled in analysing project feasibility, timing, ROI, cost analysis and process improvement.Mechanical design and analysis capabilities, with proficiency in CAD softwareExcellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, teamwork and innovative thinking.
