Ko wai matou - Who are we
Te Kaunihera-a-rohe o Ngamotu - New Plymouth District Council is a local government organisation located in the heart of New Plymouth. Our vision is to be the Sustainable Lifestyle Capital, and our district boasts a spectacular natural beauty from Taranaki Maunga to the moana. We work collaboratively with iwi, Government, not-for-profits and businesses to achieve outcomes that benefit our community.
Te aheinga - The opportunity
As a result of NPDC's Organisation Transformation review, a number of new teams and roles have been created, including the Project Management Office (PMO). Coordinate, prepare necessary presentation materials and document meetings, circulating minutes in a timely manner and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
Record project decisions, changes, processing change request requirements and maintaining registers.
Support Project Manager(s) to complete the handover process which includes asset data capture, capitalisation, financial closure, system closure and closure reports.
You will have two plus years experience in a project role, working with project delivery teams, plus:

Exceptional verbal, written, presentation, facilitation, financial management and report writing skills.
Demonstrated ability working effectively and collaboratively in team environments.
Advanced computer skills and experience with MS products, Sharepoint (or similar online document management portal), HR and Finance systems/portals.
Experience working with Kaupapa Maori, competency in Tikanga and a dedication to applying Te Ao Maori lens.
Experience working in a complex public-facing environment with working knowledge of Local Government legislation.
