Project and Research Lead - STAH at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Te Tai Tokerau, Northland Scientific, Technical and Allied HealthPermanent full time 1.0 FTE, based in WhangareiThis role will contribute to the delivery of Te Whatu Ora, Te Tai Tokerau strategic and workforce plans through delivery of projects of work that sit within the remit of the directorate of Scientific, Technical and Allied Health Services.A significant part of this role will be research to understand the current situation and context, identify the project vision, outcomes and benefits.In conjunction with the directorate the role will be able to facilitate pre – project processes, initiate, plan/design, execute, manage and monitor projects aligned to delivering the program of work within the directorate.The ability to form close links with all health providers and project manage the implantation of innovative solutions that ensure value for money, quality services and population health outcomes.Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau is committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and holds stewardship for equitable health outcomes for Maori as Tangata Whenua as the highest priority.Qualifications and Experience:Relevant health/social science or business management experience/qualificationOutstanding network and relationship management experience and skillsExperience in different techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling projectsExperience and knowledge of primary, community, secondary health related issues especially those pertaining to high needs populationsPersonal Attributes:Strong leadership and management skills including ability to influence othersAbility to find innovative ways of solving problemsAbility and confidence to work effectively with Maori at community and organisational levelAbility to work well, autonomously and as part of a teamA career with Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau will see you action meaningful change in the region we love, and in your professional development – all whilst enjoying everything the stunning North has to offer.
