Administrative Assistants (Administration & Office Support)The Organisation:Our client is a versatile contractor excelling in residential, industrial, and commercial projects. Their skilled team and advanced in-house design capabilities ensure innovative, tailored solutions. With a focus on quality, efficiency, and collaboration, they deliver projects on time and within budget, while meeting the highest industry standards.The Role:Reporting to the Managing Director, this key role ensures the seamless operation of a busy office while supporting operations with proficient project coordination and administrative skills. Project costs are aligned with client quotes and expectations, accurate records for materials and labour are maintained, and compliance with health and safety regulations on site is managed.Responsibilities:Manage and track construction costs, purchase orders, labour & materials.Coordinate sub-contractor agreements and yearly declarations.Record timesheets for processing with an external payroll provider.Provide administrative support to the management team.Collaborate with customers, builders, architects, and sub-contractors, maintaining clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.Ensure Health and Safety compliance, undertake on-site H&S inspections, focusing on continuous improvement to improve safer ways of working.Assist in the development and maintenance of H&S procedures and workplace policies.Skills and Experience:Diploma in Construction Management (desirable), experience in the building/construction industry (essential).Proven experience in an operational or project administrative role.Strong knowledge of New Zealand health and safety legislation.Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, InDesign (document management), Xero, Lentune (or similar construction software).Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with strong problem-solving capabilities.Motivated self-starter, driven to meet deadlines and achieve goals.The Benefits:Competitive Salary + Car Park + Phone.Professional Development + Career Progression.Positive, Collaborative and Inclusive Culture.Starting January 2025.About Us:Canterbury owned, Ryan is proud to have supported candidates and clients for over 35 years.
