About the Role:
The primary purpose of this position is to ensure people and food safety compliance at the end of the production process before signing stock over to the Despatch team. Reinforcing checks are completed and results compliant, leading the B&R Production and Wrapping & Boxing team while building capability and knowledge, reiterating "Most trusted brand." These are full-time, permanent roles based at our Wiri Bakery.
We have 2 team leader positions available within our Bun & Roll Department, see below roles we have available:
Saturday to Wednesday from 11am to 8.30pm (Bun & Roll Production Team Leader)
Thursday to Monday from 12.30pm to 10pm (Bun & Roll Wrapping Team Leader)
Key accountabilities of this position include:
Oversee the training of all team members using the "buddy" system and ensure everyone is trained as required.
Has complete knowledge of the technical process and ensures that this is adhered to by the team and escalated as required.
Ensuring products are produced & packed to specification.
All H&S-related matters are managed in accordance with H&S procedures.
All food safety-related matters are managed in accordance with Food Safety procedures.
Manage the team and ensure that feedback and performance management is undertaken as required.
Drive-shift QATs/ Bucket Walks and weekly Safety Walks.
About You:
Someone with high level of enthusiasm and drive.
Previous experience in leadership & manufacturing production background - FMCG manufacturing background advantageous.
Exhibit passion and strong leadership skills.
Skilled at training others on the job.
Physically fit to work on your feet and lift 25 kg above your shoulders.
You will be required to wear a respirator mask for the duration of your shift if you are applying for the B&R Production position.
Efficient time management and multitasking ability.
Someone with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Passionate about making superior quality and safe food for our NZ communities.

Please note that we operate 7 days per week across the site , and there may be opportunities for overtime. We are only closed on Christmas Day and Easter Friday; all other public holidays are worked as normal days.
