Paparoa Range School welcomes applicants for the role of principal/tumuaki.
This is a unique and challenging opportunity for a highly motivated and driven person to lead our school (Y1-8). We are a highly functioning school, with a strong family emphasis, located on the stunning West Coast, with two sites nestled against the Paparoa Ranges inland from Greymouth.
Our sites are located 18 km apart in Dobson and Blackball, separated by the Mawhera (Grey) River. Current roll: 52.

We seek a principal with strategic and organisational leadership skills who has the enthusiasm and motivation to lead our staff and students as well as our school communities into the future. Experience in building strong relationships, having effective communication skills, and the ability to encourage our students to fulfill their individual goals is essential. With passionate educators and dedicated staff and Board, we expect our new principal to have a strong understanding of the NZ Curriculum requirements and awareness of the upcoming changes.
This is a wonderful opportunity for a principal to continue to develop a strong relationship between our two sites and build a supportive community for our students while cultivating and maintaining new and existing processes and ideas.
The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position are set by the NZ Primary Principals Collective Agreement.
