Details of the offer

With an operational structure of a Junior (1-6), a Middle (7-10) and a Senior (11-13) school, we are seeking to appoint a new Principal to lead our Junior School, commencing at an agreed time in 2025. The successful candidate must be an experienced educational leader who is passionate about teaching, learning and the holistic development of our students. The appointee will be innovative and dynamic with excellent interpersonal skills. The salary package will reflect the high level of importance the Board places on this key position within the College.
As a member of the College Executive and Senior Leadership Team, the successful candidate will have extensive senior leadership experience, and must be able to demonstrate:
A passion for and an understanding of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme, and independent education in New Zealand
A breadth of leadership across strategic, organisational and operational outcomes
Experience managing a team of people, with the ability to support their development within a cohesive unit, and inspire them to excel
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships
That they are innovative and dynamic and able to drive and move comfortably with change
Absolute commitment to the pursuit of excellence and a willingness to frequently "go the extra mile" to ensure outcomes
Superior organisational skills, and the ability to work on a variety of tasks concurrently
Empathy with the College special character, philosophy and values
