This is a newly created position in a high performing team that spans the entire Crown Property portfolio and our precious Aotearoa, so there is no shortage on diversity of interesting work. This is an opportunity to leverage off your previous experience working at a principal level , drawing on your strong relationship building skills to lead and advise on the delivery and understanding of our work. We're seeking someone with strategic asset management experience, proficient in asset management systems and property maintenance delivery, capable of elevating operations to a strategic level. To be successful in this role, you will need to have:   Experience in property management, asset management, leasing, treaty settlement with a particular focus on the seamless integration of operational expertise into strategic asset management planning. Knowledge and understanding of the Maori world view, and our obligations as a Treaty Partner, to influence the organisation's approach to partnering and domain advice. Confident providing highly technical property advice working across a diverse portfolio. Proficiency in strategic asset management planning, asset management systems and operationalising strategic lease management to drive organisational objectives. Working knowledge of seismic, cultural, heritage, health & safety, and other industry-related legislation, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation in operational activities. Agility to work in a dynamic environment, leading co-design of creative solutions. Prioritisation and project management skills to empower active asset management across staff, driving efficiency and effectiveness. Demonstrated understanding and experience of an all-of-government focus, fostering collaboration and alignment with broader government objectives.   Skills & Experience   Extensive property management experience, preferably within built structures or land use. Tertiary qualification in property, law, or equivalence preferred, complemented by hands-on experience in construction, asset management or property management. Proficiency in managing residential tenancies Act, license to occupy, and leases, with a demonstrated ability to navigate complex legal frameworks. Familiarity with strategic asset management planning and operationalising strategic lease management. Awareness of seismic, cultural, heritage, health & safety, and industry-related legislation. Ability to influence across various assets and prioritise initiatives for active asset management. Understanding of all-of-government focus and financial acumen to evaluate proposed actions' impact. Leadership qualities to inspire high-quality work and create supporting documents and templates. Business and financial acumen to understand how the business works and evaluate the impact of proposed actions on the organisation's financial and resourcing health. Proven leadership qualities to provide vision and direction, motivating teams to deliver high-quality work, including creating supporting documents, property manuals, and templates. The expected appointing range for this role is $120,000 - $149,000 per annum.
