Te Pae Tawhiti – Our Future is about the Ministry of Social Development's (MSD) future role and how we can make a bigger and better difference for New Zealanders. Te Pae Tawhiti transformation programme is a multi-year journey that will deliver services that are easier, more accessible, and better integrated across MSD.
Te Pae Tawhiti will also accelerate MSD's embedding of a relational approach to commissioning, which will help us work in a more consistent and fairer way with all our partners throughout Aotearoa. This is the focus of the Kotahitanga service change, which reflects that we are stronger when working together with whanau, hapu, iwi, providers, communities, and other government agencies. Te Tiriti o Waitangi is a tuapapa (foundation) for all the work we do.
You will take the lead in sustaining effective relationships with our key stakeholders, ensuring their perspectives, insights, and concerns are integrated into Kotahitanga's work.
You will provide strategic advice and insightful information that promotes confidence and enables well-informed decision-making.
Success in this role is achieved through collaboration, working closely with Kotahitanga workstream leads and the Kotahitanga Service Change Lead.
This is a fixed term role until 27 June 2025.
Key Responsibilities: Demonstrated experience in strategic advisory roles, with a proven record in fostering confidence and enabling effective decision-making.Mastery in championing a Te Ao Maori perspective, integrating Te Ao Maori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi in all initiatives.Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem-solve effectively in time-sensitive situations.A history of collaborative work with diverse stakeholders including government agencies, NGOs, iwi/Maori, and community groups.Awareness of the wider social sector ecosystem and understanding of government workings.Adaptability to diverse needs while keeping focus on delivering improved outcomes for our communities.Familiarity with Agile and SAFe methodology is preferred.Excellent technical proficiency, capable of producing high-quality, detail-oriented documents amidst busy and complex environments.Interested in making a significant contribution in a meaningful career?
