About the Role: We are seeking Casual Preanalytical Technicians/Phlebotomists (or trainees) to join our Laboratory Service at Wairoa Hospital. The Wairoa site services a small, vibrant community in the sunny Hawkes Bay.
The role involves performing phlebotomy, specimen receipting and registration, laboratory point-of-care testing (POCT) analysis, and maintenance tasks. Training, orientation, and ongoing support will be provided to help you succeed.

About you: We're looking for someone who is:
Customer-focused with exceptional interpersonal skills.
Proficient in computer and keyboard skills.
Highly developed in communication skills.
Able to learn and follow protocols and guidelines precisely.
Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
