About the opportunity
As Power Conversion and Hardware Lead, you will use your technical expertise, experience and leadership to support the development of market leading power conversion technology for Enatel's new and existing stationary and motive power markets.
Critically you will lead a team of talented hardware and power conversion developers to continue to offer world class power electronics design and hardware, together with architecting and maintaining our development environments, supporting our validation programmes, but importantly lead our R&D efforts to provide compelling product offerings.
You will provide leadership, coaching, support, and development of team members in the power conversion and hardware team. This includes aligning, motivating, and inspiring our next generation of engineers.
The Power Conversion and Hardware Lead will work with their peers across the Engineering function (and wider) to assist in architecting our products and solutions.
About you
To be successful in this role you will ideally be a analytical thinker with a global perspective on technology trends, an effective communicator with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. We are also looking for someone who has:
Around 10+ years proven experience in power electronics development. Embedded hardware development experience is advantageous.
Degree in electrical/electronic engineering or equivalent vocational training.
Strong technical expertise in power conversion technologies, topologies, and component design.
Designing and building power electronics-based solutions that have been delivered to customers on time, to budget and to the required quality standards (includes scope).
National and international regulatory frameworks including UL, RCM, CE, CEC, FCC and CB as well European directives (low-voltage, EMC, RED).
Electronics design, including the ability to understand and navigate electrical schematics
Design for EMC and design for manufacture.
Hardware test and monitoring tools (oscilloscope, spectrum analyser and power meters).
Agile development tools and techniques including scrum and Kanban.
Configuration management and change control.
Ability to take a project from significant uncertainty in the early discovery phases through product launch.
Proactive and results-oriented with a commitment to continuous improvement.
