We have an exciting Christchurch based opportunity for an experienced Power BI Developer / Data Visualisation Specialist to join the Data and Analytics team at Ryman Healthcare. The purpose of this role will be to optimise the Power BI reporting platform and to design and develop rich, innovative and insightful reports and dashboards in Power BI. The successful applicant will also play a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining the self-service analytical capability within the organisation. You will be responsible for: Owning the data visualisation space and driving best practice across the business in Power BI, our primary presentation layer, including: Designing and developing semantic models within Power BI to support reporting and visualization needs Contributing to the Power BI architecture design Playing a key role in developing and supporting the Power BI user community Monitoring and optimising the performance of Power BI reports and dashboards Ensuring adherence to governance principles and best practices for Power BI Operating Power BI on a daily basis, including: Planning, designing, and implementing effective dashboards and visualisations to enhance and transform the business use of data Maintaining existing Power BI reports Performing ad-hoc data analysis and fulfil client data requests by crafting SQL queries What's in it for you?
