Postgraduate Nursing Education Coordinator Practice Development Unit (Otago), Dunedin Salary Band $114,000 - $121,000 + Kiwisaver Permanent role 0.4 FTE / 16 hours per week Inspire, support, influence and improve nursing practice Ensure the Health New Zealand Southern accesses the maximum amount of funding available to support nurses in their postgraduate clinical and professional practice development About the opportunity Monitor the postgraduate nursing education programme, Oversee postgraduate budget, In consultation, set postgraduate nursing funding priorities. Collaborate with the Directors of Nursing and other senior nursing leaders. Maintain clear and transparent processes for PDN funding, application priorities, application process, allocation and payment processes. Support Southern Nursing Workforce plan and initiatives. Support and provide cover for the PDRP Coordinator when required. Liaise with local education providers to ensure programmes meet the regional service needs About you Registration with NZ nursing council and a current APC Significant and recent nursing experience A personal commitment to ongoing learning and development including attainment and maintenance of PDRP (minimum Proficient). The Practice Development Unit (Otago) is based within Dunedin Hospital and provides opportunities for inter-professional skills development and knowledge acquisition alongside professional practice development. The PDU is home to approximately 30 educators and coordinators all of whom deliver and facilitate educational opportunities within their designated areas as well as more broadly across the organisation. The team is close knit and supportive; always willing to lend a hand, develop new skills and initiatives and collaborate in order to ensure our healthcare environment provides the best quality, safety and patient/client experience with regard to patient care.
