In order to achieve our organisational and people objectives and thrive among constant change, Te Tai Ohanga - the Treasury has established an Agile policy team. Our goals are to effectively allocate people to priority work as required; build flexibility into our resourcing model; and to support the wellbeing and development of our people.
The Agile Team is looking for a Kaitatari (Analyst) who will be deployed to high priority projects across the Treasury. This is an opportunity for an experienced analyst to work on shaping and delivering the Government's fiscal strategy, lifting public sector performance, and providing advice on the big issues and government priorities.
Agile Team members have dual reporting lines, both to their 'home' Manager (Agile Team) and to their 'host' people leader. Deployment lengths vary depending on requirements but are usually 3 - 6 months.
Agile Team members quickly gain experience and visibility across Te Tai Ohanga - The Treasury. The team uses that experience to lead on important issues, like building the organisation's cultural intelligence, helping to create an inclusive workplace, and promoting Treasury's Values and Behaviours. We support our people to develop confidence in te reo Maori and capability in applying He Ara Waiora and a Te Tiriti o Waitangi lens.
This important work takes a special kind of person with a passion for making a difference and getting things done. We are looking for someone who is:
High performing and experienced policy professional with a solid grounding in core policy skills.Exceptional collaborators and team players, able to adapt to new teams and working rhythms.Familiar or experienced with Treasury's fiscal management role or experience in public financial management/Vote work.Delivery focused and effective problem solvers.Adaptable and resilient, comfortable working on fast moving and high priority issues as well as dealing with ambiguity.Aptitude for critical thinking and analytical ability.Good written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate complex issues clearly and succinctly to influence a range of audiences.Ko nga hua | What we Offer We want the Agile team to reflect the diverse communities we serve, so we welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds, orientations, and identities. The salary band for this role is $90,041 - $105,930. Appointments will be based on skills and experience.
