We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Plumber/Gas Fitter to join a dedicated team working on various commercial projects and maintenance contracts throughout Palmerston North. In this role, you'll contribute to high-profile developments, leveraging cutting-edge tools and technology. You'll also benefit from a supportive and team-oriented environment that values collaboration and quality workmanship.Key Responsibilities:Perform plumbing and gas fitting tasks on commercial projects and maintenance contractsDiagnose and resolve plumbing issues efficiently on-siteEnsure compliance with industry standards and regulationsCollaborate with the team to achieve project goals and deadlinesMaintain health and safety standards on-siteUse technology and tools to complete tasks accuratelyQuarterly on-call work with allowances (total of 4 weeks per year)$40 - $44 p/h (depending on experience) with overtime rates of 1.5x after 45 hoursMonday to Friday work (average 44-hour weeks)Tool allowance of up to $2/hrAssistance with relocation costsWork vehicle (not for personal use)Paid day off for your birthdayTeam-focused, sociable work environment (regular social events)Opportunities to take on greater responsibilities as the company growsSkills & Experience Needed:Previous experience in commercial plumbing or maintenance workStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailKnowledge of current plumbing and gas standards/legislationEffective communication skills and ability to work well in a teamComfortable with using new technologies and systemsRequired Qualifications:Certified Tradesman or Journeyman Plumber & Gas Fitter (Drainlaying is a bonus)Site Safe certification (preferred but not mandatory)Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol testFull New Zealand driver's licenseMust be able to pass an MOJ checkHow to Apply:If you're ready for an exciting new challenge and want to be part of a forward-thinking, growing team, we'd love to hear from you.
