We are a community-based school with close connections to our whanau (families)and while our setting is urban, it also looks out onto beautiful bush clad hills.Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and passionate leader for the position of Deputy PrincipalPreschool, where you will oversee the Early Childhood sector of the school, including fourclassrooms and outdoor environment (approximately 100 children), Playgroup, andBefore/After School Care. You will become an important member of our innovative andfriendly Senior Leadership Team in a highly collaborative working environment. You willalso take on the role of Board/Council staff representative, attending meetings wherenecessary.Minimum RequirementsSuccessfully completed an AMI Montessori Diploma (3-6).Prior experience overseeing/teaching in a Montessori environment.Current New Zealand teacher registration.Experience with conducting appraisals, self-reviews, and mentoring and coaching new and experienced teachers.The successful applicant will have a great sense of humour, love and respect young children,and appreciate the potential inherent in the first plane of development. You will work wellwith parents, be capable of juggling several tasks at once, and have excellent attention todetail.This position is for a start date in Term 1, end of January 2025.
