The role We need a motivated People & Culture Senior Advisor or Manager to join our dynamic firm to provide strategic and operational support to the partners and employees of BDO Wellington across the full range of people matters. This role will work alongside our People and Culture Co-ordinator and be part of the Wellington Corporate Services team. In addition to this you will also be part of our National BDO New Zealand P&C Community. This community allows you to build direct relationships with HR professionals from the wider BDO network, who are there to support one another. You'll be involved in all aspects of the people and culture function including: Graduate & Intern programme coordination Recruitment and onboarding for new team members Working on projects & policies to achieve ambitious strategic people objectives Coordinating other aspects of the wider HR function, including Remuneration Review, Engagement Surveys and Learning and Development We are looking for a driven, HR professional with at least three years HR experience. Organisational fit is important to us, so you'll need to demonstrate an agile, can do attitude and a good amount of common sense. To excel in this role, you will: Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships Be proactive, organised, and efficient, with a pragmatic approach to time management Be highly proficient in the Microsoft Office suite and confident with learning new systems Have a high level of discretion when dealing with confidential information Have experience in a HR role in a fast-paced environment A good base knowledge of HR legislation Experience with end to end recruitment processes If you are looking to work for an organisation who put people first and a role that allows you to just get on with it and own initiatives - then BDO Wellington could the place for you.
