A predominantly member-based sports model to a model that engages with and provides value to a much wider, more diverse range of participants, supporters, and followers.A competitions ecosystem that is set up to mainly serve traditional sporting pathways, to a system that also delivers successful recreation and commercial events.A reliance on grant funding to self-generated commercial earnings and tripling Athletics New Zealand annual investment in development.About the Role: We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Participation and Membership Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will support community engagement by providing excellent customer service, managing membership and event systems, and maintaining accurate data. Working closely with our Development and Events teams, clubs, and external system providers, you will streamline registration processes, facilitate engaging training opportunities, and communicate effectively to enhance the engagement experience with Athletics New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities: Event Support: Coordinate participant registrations, assist with event-day logistics, and manage on-site support to ensure a smooth and engaging experience for attendees.Membership Administration: Act as the main contact for member inquiries, manage membership registrations and renewals, maintain an accurate database, and generate membership reports.System Management: Oversee relationships with system providers, maintain an issues log, and keep members and clubs updated on system announcements and improvements.About You: You are a proactive and customer-focused administrator with experience in membership management, data maintenance, and event support. You possess an understanding of CRM and registration systems, have excellent organisational skills, and enjoy contributing to a positive community experience. A background in sports administration or a related field is highly advantageous.
Essential Skills and Experience: Proven experience in membership or event administration, ideally within the sports sector.Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM, and membership or event registration systems.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with high attention to detail.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong customer service orientation.Familiarity with Health and Safety at Work, Children's Act, and Privacy Act regulations.Why Join Us?
