ISS Facility Services have a Cleaning Supervisor vacancy at Wellington Hospital. Monday-Friday, 11:30pm-6:00am.
The Opportunity:
ISS are looking for a Cleaning Supervisor at Wellington Hospital. Directly supporting our Operations Manager, this role has a key focus to drive improvements to the standards of service delivered. The position is responsible for the day-to-day co-ordination and supervision of the Wellington Hospital Cleaning teams.
Profile:
Proven cleaning experience, with exceptional standards.
Supervisory and management experience is preferred.
Excellent communication skills – oral and written.
Highly organised, solutions focused with a good eye for detail.
Ability to interact with a variety of people including staff, clients, and the general public.
Physically fit.
High level of self-motivation as well as the ability to motivate a team to consistently deliver the highest standard of service.
Deliver and actively engage in staff training.
Ensure all equipment maintenance is current, liaise with Operations Manager regarding any equipment breakdowns and issues.
Identify and record any problems relating to cleaning services and/or safety, then initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through the Operations Manager.
Investigate complaints, compliments, incidents, and report findings to the Operations Manager.
Respect patient property, privacy, and confidentiality at all times.
Undertake any other duties as directed by the Operations Manager commensurate with your abilities and training.
Monitor ongoing progress of all cleaning staff within designated areas and act promptly and appropriately to address performance, disciplinary or conflict issues with the Operations Manager.
Arrange and co-ordinate relief staff to ensure all sites are cleaned to specification.
Daily and weekly team reporting of H&S, staffing, training, and customer requests/concerns.
Lead by example to reinforce and promote ISS commitment to safe work practice and a healthy working environment.
Participate in monthly Health and Safety meetings held with H&S representatives.
NZ Full License is preferred.
