Our team work together to provide quality care to patients for day and short stay services. We specialise in orthopaedic, gynaecology, ORL, urology, maxillo-facial and general elective surgical procedures.

THE ROLE
Our orderlies are a key patient support role across the Theatre, PACU and Ward areas of the hospital. The key tasks of an Orderly include:
Assist with the timely transfer of patients between clinical areas.
Cleaning bed spaces and making beds.
Maintenance & receipting of stock & linen.
Waste removal from the hospital area.
Cleaning schedules with the support of the clinical nursing staff.
This can be a physically demanding role requiring completion of tasks at a timely pace in a critical environment.
There are no guaranteed hours as it is a Casual role. Working shifts for our orderlies are between the hours of 7:30 am – 9 pm, Monday to Friday. You will be covering planned holiday leave as well as last minute cover for sick leave and increase in patient flows.
ABOUT YOU
You prefer flexibility, having the time for other things in your life while still being connected to a work family. As a casual, you must have the flexibility to work across Monday to Friday and the hours of 7:30 am – 9 pm at short notice.
It is important that you can manage the physical requirements of the role, which include but are not limited to moving heavy beds gently and performing some repetitive tasks.
We are looking for someone with good communication skills, the ability to show initiative and make smart decisions while understanding that the role is primarily located within a specialist clinical recovery (post-operative) environment.
