We're seeking an Operations Consultant to join our dynamic Lending Security Integrity and Approvals team on a 12-Month Fixed Term.
In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in ensuring operational excellence while delivering top-notch customer service. You'll be responsible for maintaining a delicate balance between service, business, policy and risk considerations, showcasing your sound judgement and decision-making skills.
About the role:
The Lending Security Integrity and Approvals team is multi-functional, where the Integrity side look after risk control checks, audits for diversified funding, quality assurance, maintenance, and the integrity of our security, along with some reporting for ASB.
For our Approvals half of the team, they assess and apply a credit decision on Security Alteration requests, prior to any changes being made for our retail customers.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Delivering superior customer service; own the "experience" in responding to and effectively managing and resolving customer/stakeholder enquiries, complaints and issues.
Providing expert advice and knowledge on ASB's lending documentation requirements.
Demonstrating an active interest in learning and applying various Operations Excellence tools such as lean, agile, DMAIC, human centred design and data analysis/root cause analysis.
Contributing to building a proactive risk management culture within the team where all staff 'own our risks.'
Contributing to business planning by sharing observations/insights of customer experience/opportunities and pain points and suggesting possible initiatives to improve.
What do I need to be successful?
This role will suit an ambitious individual who always prides themselves on the delivery of outstanding customer service and has a curious, investigative mindset.

Your demonstrated ability to work effectively in a deadline driven environment.
Technically savvy and able to learn and utilise various ASB systems quickly.
Great numerical skills and a keen eye for detail is essential.
The ability to communicate clearly and confidently, both verbally and in writing is essential.
You will also need to be a team player with the ability to think outside the box to solve unique problems.
2-3 years banking experience, experience in lending would be an advantage.
