Operational Practices Lead

Details of the offer

Fluid Recruitment is proud to exclusively partner with Aurora Energy in its search for a newly created Operational Practices Lead to join the Operational Performance and Safety Team.
The Company
Aurora Energy is putting significant investment into its networks throughout the Otago region. It's an exciting time with Aurora working hard to support the community's future growth!
With Aurora working as one team and being solutions focused, if your ideal role is one where you can add value and make your mark by embracing a strategic approach and industry best practice then this is the role for you!
The Role
A newly created role, you will be responsible for further developing Aurora's work management practices. This will see you supporting the Network Operations Centre in managing risk, ensuring it operates efficiently and in line with industry best practice.
Reporting to the Operational Performance and Safety Manager, you will work to develop process frameworks, systems and documentation that inform how the network is operated and accessed. In doing so, you will work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including within NOC, Service Delivery, and with training professionals.
About You
Eager to utilise your strong operational knowledge, you'll have risk management experience within an electrical distribution environment, understanding what informs industry best practice. This will see you having extensive exposure to operating the network or being degree qualified and working within an engineering function that supports real time operations.
With a desire for continuous improvement and an effective communicator, you'll likely have experience in developing new practices, have contributed to evolving documentation, and/or been involved in training others.
The Opportunity
This role presents a great opportunity to play a significant part in the uplift of Aurora's operational maturity. A recognised area of growth, you will have the backing of the business and work with a range of subject matter experts while delivering improvement, giving the opportunity to broaden your exposure within the industry.
A hybrid flexible work policy & lifestyle leave options
Additional KiwiSaver contributions
Ongoing support for professional development & training with support for those seeking chartership
Exclusive employee discounts across 40 stores
Discounted medical insurance policies
Not in Dunedin? Relocation support is on offer.
