Rehabilitation services across Dunedin cover a range of areas both inpatient and community. Each team is a dynamic and evolving interdisciplinary team, and the wider occupational therapy team is a supportive innovative team. We want to start looking at services across the age range and how we can support staff to expand their neurorehabilitation knowledge to plan and provide best-practice rehabilitation to our diverse patients in an inpatient setting or in the patient's home.

We take pride in supporting our staff to grow and we enable ongoing professional development including regular team in-services, staff mentoring, peer review, and access to course and conference funding. We support student education throughout clinical placements.

You'll have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and expertise in rehabilitation with medical, orthopaedic, and neurological conditions including stroke and traumatic brain injury (TBI). You will also have the opportunity to support, teach, and upskill students and junior staff. There is also an opportunity to look at service development and innovation.

Mou ake - About you

In addition, you will have enthusiasm and a willingness to commit to our team and patients. You will be expected to be active in service quality initiatives; therefore, be proactive, innovative, and have a quality-driven leadership approach.

For this permanent role covering the service, you will need to be a New Zealand Registered Occupational Therapist with a current annual practising certificate.
