The Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced occupational therapist, working in our Older Peoples Assessment & Liaison Service (OPAL), based within the Occupational Therapy Team at Palmerston North Hospital. Primary Responsibilities: Providing quality occupational therapy services within a comprehensive multi-disciplinary team, to meet the needs of older persons with frailty in a dedicated inpatient unit. Supporting older adults who are experiencing delirium. We are looking for an occupational therapist who is: Enthusiastic, energetic, resilient, with a 'can do' attitude. Has the ability to work effectively within a team. A New Zealand registered Occupational Therapist, with a current practicing certificate. Has experience working with older adults. Strong desire to help clients and whanau achieve their goals. Effective written, oral and interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures. Strong organisational and time management skills. Holds Enable NZ Accredited Assessor status, be Service Accredited or eligible to become accredited with appropriate training. A full, current, driver's licence is essential.
