An exciting opportunity has become available to work as an Occupational Therapist in our Community Mental Health & Addiction Services in Rotorua.
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our multi-disciplinary team who has an interest in Mental Health.
Post graduate experience in mental health (2 years) would be an asset; however, for the right candidate, this could be a great position for a new graduate with opportunities to develop skills in occupational therapy assessment, individual work, and group facilitation, with a pathway for future options in our community settings.
Mo te turanga / About the role
As a Registered Occupational Therapist, you will:

Coordinate care and provide profession-specific interventions, i.e., functional assessments.
Work with people as they transition from the inpatient service to the community.
Be supported by the senior community occupational therapy team.
Demonstrate strong assessment skills, experience in a variety of interventions, and work within a skilled multi-disciplinary team.
Connect and build trusting relationships with people from various life experiences and cultural backgrounds, improving outcomes for Maori accessing care.
Work permanent part-time (Up to 32 hours per week), during business hours (Mon-Fri 8am to 4:30pm). Structure of part-time hours is negotiable.
