An exciting opportunity has become available to work as an Occupational Therapist in our Community Mental Health & Addiction Services in Rotorua. We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our multi-disciplinary team who has an interest in Mental Health. Post graduate experience in mental health (2 years) would be an asset; however, for the right candidate, this could be a great position for a new graduate with opportunities to develop skills in occupational therapy assessment, individual work and group facilitation.
Mo te turanga / About the role
As a Registered Occupational Therapist you will:
Provide a mix of care coordination and profession-specific interventions, including functional assessments, while assisting people transitioning from inpatient service to the community.
Work in a sole role supported by the senior community occupational therapy team.
Demonstrate strong assessment skills and experience in a variety of interventions within a skilled multi-disciplinary team.
Connect and build trusting relationships with people from diverse life experiences and cultural backgrounds, improving outcomes for Maori accessing care.
Work permanent part-time (Up to 32 hours per week), during business hours (Mon – Fri 8am to 4:30pm), with negotiable structure of part-time hours.
