We are a supportive team within a practice serving a diverse local community in Whakatane. We are looking for someone to bring their skills and experience to complement our existing team. Someone who can bring clinical excellence, great ideas for productive and efficient methods of working, comfortable with change management and a passion for general practice. We need someone with great people skills - friendly, compassionate and pro-active in management and genuinely care about people's health and well-being. Our centre is located in the central area of Whakatane. We are open Monday - Friday 8am-5pm and are RNZCGP Cornerstone accredited.
If you are ready to step up into a leadership role, or are already an experienced Nurse Lead this is the role for you. Mentoring and support will be available for the right candidate. As Nurse Lead you will work collaboratively with the Medical Centre Manager and GP Lead. The nursing team consists of Registered Nurses and Practice Care Assistants with a clinical component undertaken by the nurse lead. You will be responsible for recruitment and day to day management. As a collaborate centre leadership team, you will be part of development and implementation of new and existing models of care designed to improve health outcomes and the effective and efficient running of a medical centre.
Do you have what we are looking for?
Prior experience in a medical centre or knowledge of or past skill that would align with primary health care
A current NZNC APC is essential
You practice aligns with the principles of The Treaty of Waitangi
An aim to improve healthcare access across the practice population
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build strong rapport with team members.
A physically fit person who is confident, friendly and approachable.
