Join the dedicated team at Pokeno Family Health as a full-time Nurse Practitioner based in Pokeno Waikato. In this pivotal role, you will provide high-quality nursing care and play a vital part in delivering our organization's healthcare services to the local community.
What you'll be doing
Assess, diagnose, and treat patients independently within your scope of practice
Develop and implement individualised patient care plans
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and refer patients as necessary
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care
Provide health education and promote preventive care to patients
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
Adhere to all relevant healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures
What we're looking for
Nurse practitioner with Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) with NZNO
Minimum of 2 years' post-registration experience in a general medical or surgical nursing setting
Demonstrated advanced clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills
Proficient in pharmacology and medication management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and the healthcare team
Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice
Strong organizational and time management abilities
