Job Description - Nocturnist: Internal Medicine, Medical Department, 1.0 FTE (HAU01682) Vacancy No: HAU01682 Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity Nocturnist Hospitalist Position at Te Whatu Ora Tairawhiti, New Zealand, 1.0 FTE. Turanganui-a-Kiwa (Gisborne) is a small city of 50,000 people located in the first place to see the light in the world. The area is rich in natural beauty, surrounded by world-class surf breaks and enjoys a Mediterranean climate. This is a place for those seeking a more laid-back lifestyle with access to outdoor activities at the doorstep. With no traffic lights in town, home to work and other activities is only a short distance apart, allowing you to enjoy life outside of a commute. The 100-bed hospital is staffed with senior and junior doctors and provides essential services. More complex, critically ill patients are cared for at a tertiary center. As a nocturnist, you will work 40 hours a week from 10 PM to 8 AM, assisting junior doctors with admissions and acute issues. Procedural skills are required, though this is not a heavy workload.
