New Entrant Teacher

Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher We are looking for a passionate, motivated and nurturing NZ registered teacher to join our team as our new entrant teacher, commencing in term 1, 2025. The ideal person will have an understanding of the unique needs of students entering school for the first time, and be able to quickly build strong, nurturing relationships with them and their whanau. Candidates should have a sound knowledge of the NZ Curriculum and be able to create a stimulating learning environment that meets the diverse needs of the students in their class. An understanding of Te Whariki and how it links to the NZC would be helpful. While not essential, knowledge of structured literacy and numeracy, and experience with the Perceptual Motor Programme (PMP) and play-based learning would be an advantage, as would a strength in incorporating te reo me tikanga Maori into everyday classroom life.
