Ncea/Scholarship Tutors For Maths And Science

Have you recently completed NCEA Level 3? Were you successful in NZQA scholarship? If so, you would be the ideal candidate for a wee side gig that is super flexible and fits around your uni timetable. We are a small Christchurch-based and uni student-run tutoring company that specialises in NCEA and NZQA Scholarship tuition for high school students. We also offer extension and support for Yr 7-10 students in maths, science, and English. We currently contract 10 other tutors and are looking for a few more to add to our fantastic team. We are seeking excellent people who communicate confidently and can explain tricky concepts. Our ideal candidates would be confident to tutor NCEA content to excellence level for either Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Maths (Calc or Stats). Candidates who have received NZQA Scholarship in any of those subjects would be ideal, however, students with excellence endorsements at Level 3 would also be well qualified. Please do not apply if you are not confident to tutor at least one science or maths subject to Level 3 excellence level. How are we different?We pay significantly more than other tutoring companies, and fit around your uni timetable and other part-time jobs. Therefore, we do expect a high level of quality from our tutors. As a contractor, you are also able to work for other businesses or take private students. Lessons take place at the UC library, Fendalton, Upper Riccarton or Turanga Libraries (but there is no obligation to travel). We'd love to hear from you!
