This is a full-time role for an experienced sales person selling our native plants to Councils, Civil Contractors, Developers and the Rural Sector. Our nursery is based near Rotorua. As our primary sales person at Plenty Plants, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with a range of clients to drive new business and revenue growth.What you'll be doingUsing your knowledge and relationships to proactively prospect and generate salesMeet with clients to understand their needs and share the benefits of our growing system that provides better root structures, healthier plants, labour savings planting and faster establishment sustainablyNegotiating and closing sales contracts with these clientsProviding exceptional customer service to ensure client satisfaction and retain businessCollaborating with the marketing team to develop effective sales and promotional strategiesAchieving and exceeding sales targetsMaintaining detailed records and reporting on sales activities and performanceWhat we're looking forProven track record of successful new business development and plant sales to councils, civil contractors, land owners and developers, especially in Bay of Plenty and Waikato regionsSound knowledge of New Zealand native plants used for these projects and ability to advise clients on ideal range of plants for their situation to ensure optimal outcomes and satisfied customersExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clientsStrong negotiation and closing skills, with a consultative sales approachHighly motivated, driven, and target-oriented, with a positive, resilient mindsetProficient in using sales and customer relationship management (CRM) softwareTertiary qualification in a relevant field or equivalent industry experienceWhat we offerAt Plenty Plants, we are committed to providing our employees with a supportive and rewarding work environment.
