New Plymouth based Jean Müller GmbH Elektrotechnische Fabrik is a leading manufacturer of low voltage switchgear and power reticulation products with headquarters in Germany and subsidiaries in 11 other countries.
They are highly specialised and are well renowned across New Zealand and internationally with producing top of the line products backed with German engineering.
Their New Plymouth business supports their Australasian operations in NZ, Australia and the Pacific Islands.
We have a unique opportunity based in New Plymouth working within their small and dedicated operations within a newly created role as their National Sales Representative role.
This position would be reporting to their NZ Managing Director and working closely with their other team members.
You will be responsible for sales across New Zealand with their current and newly targeted clients as directed by the MD so it will be a mixture of both hunting and farming sales.
You must have a strong / extensive electrical background and a full track record of electrical sales and any experience with selling switchgear and power reticulation products would be highly regarded.
Responsibilities of the position include: Gaining on the job knowledge of Jean Mueller and third-party products Assisting other team members when required to ensure the company continues to provide the best in customer service Maintaining and strengthening relationships with key customers Support and participate in customer quotations You will be used to working in sales with higher frequency transactions at times as well as slower burning sales so having strong communication skills is a must.
Your understanding also of a manufacturing environment (made to order relationship) will allow you to liaise between relevant parties well and you must be experienced in communicating to senior levels of business through to Line Managers.
You will have a strong sales background, be proven in promoting products and discussing technical details with clients and management teams.
You will need to be well organised, able to plan ahead and have a strong desire to succeed.
