We work closely with our employers to support their people with: injury management, return to work support for non-injury factors (illness, mental health), injury prevention, early intervention and other wellbeing services. The role is that of National Operations Manager with responsibility for managing all operational activities of the organisation, ensuring the implementation of overall organisational strategy and advisor to the CEO and other executives. The role will assume the coordination over the following operational management areas: Legal & Compliance Claims management & case management services delivered through Wellnz Branches Maintenance of quality standards (ISO 9001) Input into Corporate Strategy Achieve Business Performance Responsible for the effective management of the operational activities of the organisation Ensuring that strategic objectives shaped by the CEO are translated into tactical business plans with mechanisms for key measurements in place to monitor progress Managing the scale and pace of change across the business Acting as required or in the absence of the CEO, as chief spokesperson for the organisation Directing and motivating direct reports to achieve agreed targets Managing and motivating all divisional employees Driving Business Direction Providing strategic direction, leading, managing and directing all operational activities of the organisation Ensuring all corporate and business unit strategies and plans are aligned, reviewed and successfully implemented – taking remedial action where necessary Providing support and assistance to the CEO in defining and implementing initiatives to support the business plan Ensuring that a proper infrastructure (building, systems, headcount) is developed and maintained for the organisation Ensuring business continuity plan is in place, effective and tested appropriately Manage and maintain delegated authority limits for Wellnz, in accordance with guidelines Managing Relationships Maintaining strong relationships with ACC as the Regulator and as a significant client Maintaining strong relationships with Branch Managers and Team Leaders to ensure the optimum deployment of staff resources to meet client servicing Maintain the relationship between Marsh and Wellnz for operational support services People Management / Leadership Agree expectations of operational teams with the management team and ensure clear communication to individual team members Manage the performance of team members by setting performance expectations, monitoring performance and providing feedback Provide clear directions on strategic goals, translating and prioritising them into business and performance measures Lead, inspire and coach a team of high calibre professionals and creating succession plans to key roles Pursue own development to increase personal effectiveness, acknowledging strengths and areas of development Health and Safety Foster positive H&S practices Compliance with H&S Policy Experience, Qualifications & Skills Mature, with seasoned business judgement and superior continuous improvement abilities, particularly in operational management Sound understanding of the ACC regulatory environment and AEP framework for managing workplace injuries Ability to lead/orchestrate negotiations in major transactions. Decision making and initiating action Strategic planning and resource management Delivering exceptional outcomes for both the client and the organisation Change Management and continuous improvement People leadership skills and experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Superior relationship management skills including internal teamwork Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
