Our client is in search of a skilled Motor Mechanic to provide exceptional automotive service to their valued customers. Key Details: Location: Hornby, Christchurch, New Zealand Hours: Minimum 30+ hours guaranteed Qualifications and Experience: Experience working as a Motor Mechanic OR Any Mechanical Trade Qualification. Good written and verbal communication skills. Fantastic workshop environment. Job Requirements: Perform maintenance and repairs on customer vehicles. Collaborate in identifying and assessing vehicle problems using diagnostic scan tools. Support in performing standard mechanical repairs, such as changing brake pads, wheel bearings, and suspension parts. Explain automotive repair issues and provide great customer service. Plan repair procedures using chart manuals and experience. Maintain the workshop and customer areas, ensuring well-organized inventory spaces. Perform basic maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tune-ups, and tire rotations. Install new tires and balance tires. Prepare to obtain additional certificates as needed. Willingness to learn with hands-on training. Respond to phone calls, providing quotes and information to customers. Skills and Abilities: Hands-on experience with automotive repairs. Ability to learn and adapt to new repair techniques. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Customer-focused with excellent communication skills. Ability to work well in a team.
