What will you be doing?
As a valued member of our team, you'll report directly to the Modern Workplace and Infrastructure Manager. This role is all about supporting our digital first approach, and being a champion of modern, secure workplace practices. We're looking for a Modern Workplace Technical Lead who will not only be an advocate for our operating model but also drive the adoption and development of Microsoft 365 and Security offerings. You'll be the go-to person for ensuring that our software and practices adhere to the highest standards, and you'll support the capability of our platform to deliver outcomes swiftly and safely.
Your diverse range of duties will cover multiple essential domains:
Your role-related experience includes training and mentoring junior staff, hands-on expertise within your field of capability, and a firm understanding of Modern Workplace practices, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Azure product suite.
You'll lead a workplace champions group, support the capability of the chapter and its members, and motivate people to build strong capability and develop talent. You'll take a holistic approach to the wider development objectives, ensuring beautifully simple and rewarding customer experiences.
As a role model for the behaviours and ways of working required by our operating model, you'll connect our chapter to the overall Tower strategy in your area of capability, while promoting a cross-business culture of empowerment over control, collaboration, and trust.
Support the capability of the platform to meet the needs of Tower business by feeding into the Design and Product Ideation process, taking a holistic approach to wider development objectives, and leading the strategy for the platform's development and journey, working with Microsoft and business stakeholders to ensure Tower has a modernised, fit-for-purpose capability.
What you'll need
To thrive in this role, you'll bring a wealth of proven experience and a passion for innovation.
Seasoned IT Expertise: You're either already a tech lead or a senior engineer ready to step up. Your battle-tested skills honed over several years are primed to make a significant impact.
Technical Mastery: Your knowledge spans across various Modern Workplace technologies, including SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, Identity and Azure Virtual Desktop/Nerdio.
Change Maker and Servant Leader: You've got experience delivering the changes needed to grow and evolve a team in line with strategic goals. Plus, you've practiced servant leadership and can influence and relate to colleagues at all levels.
Key Relationships and Dynamic Collaboration: You'll collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, including external vendors, architects, capability leads, Tower employees, and leadership groups ensuring our customer service levels remain top-notch. Teamwork is our secret sauce!
