About the Role
This position exists to provide medical imaging services for Hauora Tairawhiti, providing excellent imaging to support diagnosis and treatment.
About the Team/Service/Location
The radiology team provides imaging in general X-Ray, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Mammography, DEXA and Interventional Radiology. We are a vibrant team dedicated to supporting our community and each other, working together to make a positive impact every day. We also provide an after-hours on-call service for CT, MRI, Ultrasound and General X-Ray.
Ideal Candidate Experience and Professional Competencies
Qualified Medical Radiation Technologist
Registered with NZMRTB
Current Annual Practising Certificate
Sound oral and written communication skills
Good knowledge of cross-sectional imaging
A high level of time management and personal work organisation skills
CT knowledge would be an advantage
Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
