You will be responsible for shaping the inventory strategy, improving productivity, and ensuring seamless in-store and offsite stock management for the business!About the role:Overseeing all aspects of inventory management, including inwards goods processes, stock flow, replenishment, and data integrityDeveloping and implementing strategic processes and controls to optimize inventory control, minimise shrinkage, and maximise stock availabilityAnalysing inventory data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and enhanced stock availabilityEnsuring the accuracy and integrity of inventory records through regular audits, reconciliation, and proactive problem-solvingReviewing and recommending improvements to existing inventory processes for enhanced efficiency and accuracyCollaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline purchasing processes, minimise stock discrepancies, and maximise operational efficiencyMonitoring inventory levels, forecast demand, and coordinating replenishment activities to prevent stockouts and minimise excess inventory holding costsAbout you:You have extensive inventory management experience within a retail environment, ideally big box retail (exposure to a large SKU count would be advantageous)You have experience leading and developing teams and have the ability to manage a team of eight staff across the purchasing, inventory, and inwards goods departmentsYou are a detail-oriented, strategic thinker with effective negotiation skillsYou are an analytical, strategic thinker with effective problem-solving abilities paired with proven experience in maximising a retail space in order to generate maximum returnYou are an engaged, self-starter with the confidence to take the reins of the inventory management function across the storeBenefits:This is a smart career move for an ambitious candidate looking to continue to build on their leadership experience – a genuine opportunity to make a significant impact!
