Some key tasks include:
Providing complete and efficient radiographic dento-maxillo-facial x-ray imaging services.
Educating and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Assisting academic staff, students and research fellows who may wish to use radiographic techniques as part of their research.
This a unique opportunity to gain expertise and training in dento-maxillo-facial imaging here in New Zealand, as gaining expertise and teaching in these techniques and facilities are not offered anywhere else nationwide.
Minimum Requirements:
Be a qualified MRT with Bachelor of HS Med Imaging or equivalent and is registered with the NZ Medical Radiation Technologist's Board ( MRTB) or with the ability to have your experience and qualifications registered in New Zealand. (Ideally have dental experience but this is not a prerequisite.)
Satisfies the requirements of the NZMRT Board.
Hold a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
Have strong people skills with the ability to teach and assist students and staff.
Possess the ability to relate to patients and provide a high level of service.
New Graduate MRTs will be considered for this position.
This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week) fixed term position for one year based in Dunedin. Part-time hours could be negotiated.
The appointment range for this role is $75,380 to $84,656 per annum. Top of the range is $94,075.
