This is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking individual to grow their career in a team that is leading the way in cancer care in New Zealand. The role involves providing medical service support to the radiotherapy department on a day-to-day basis. You will also be involved in the training of our registrar and will have the opportunity to take part in the establishment of new techniques and development of our MRLinac service. Research opportunities might be available to the right candidate. This could include being part of the development of a formal research program with collaboration with external stakeholders as well as conducting some research in line with St Georges Strategic objectives.Nga pukenga me nga wheako | Essential skills/experience for the role:An MSc or PhD in Medical Physics.Professional registration from a recognized body.At least 3 years post qualification clinical experience.Excellent all-round technical knowledge.Capable of self-directed work.Excellent problem-solving skills.Experience with MR would be an advantage.Familiarity with Elekta equipment(s) would a plusInterest in research and development is desirable.Be Flexible to meet the needs of our service.
