This is an exciting opportunity to join our team at Ara.
We are looking for a Medical Imaging Lecturer at the purpose-built Manawa campus.Manawa is the city centre health research and education facility in the new Te Papa Hauora/Health Precinct.
Ara shares the facilities with Canterbury District Health Board (CDHB) and the University of Canterbury to encourage greater collaboration and innovation.You will work with a team of staff who are experienced clinicians and educators.
You will be a qualified MIT with current registration and recent experience in general diagnostic radiography.This role will involve teaching, mentoring, and guiding students within Te Whatu Ora Waitaha Canterbury, working alongside our team of experienced clinical tutors in the Radiology Department.Minimum Requirements:Experience as a registered MITA broad range of clinical skillsVision, innovation, and a commitment to facilitating own and others' learningFlexibility to work in a range of theoretical (tutorials) and clinical coursesCapable of supporting students to achieve their learning outcomesThe ability to develop and implement flexible teaching and learning methods, including the use of learning technologiesThe ability to integrate new technology in teachingTime management skills, including the ability to effectively and efficiently administer, organise and co-ordinate activities and meet deadlinesEngagement with assessment and feedback processesDigital literacy including competence using a computer (including Microsoft Office products)Effective communication with a diverse range of others, at all levels within and outside the organisationAra Institute of Canterbury, a business division of Te Pukenga (Ara), is a vibrant and progressive tertiary institute providing world-class, tertiary-level education throughout the Canterbury and Waitaki region.
