ANZCO Foods Limited are currently seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Level 4 Qualified Meat Inspectors to join our team at our ANZCO Foods Kokiri site on the West Coast. While this is a Bovine only site, ANZCO welcomes applications from Level 4 Ovine qualified Meat Inspectors as additional training would be provided to any suitable applicant.
This role is vital to our commitment to delivering safe, high-quality meat products to our customers. The ANZCO employed Meat Inspectors will be responsible for carrying out Post Mortem Inspection as per the requirements laid out in the Operational Code - Red Meat Post Mortem Examination, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, and supporting quality assurance standards across our facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect meat products for compliance with the Operational Code - Red Meat Post Mortem Examination.
Ensure adherence to hygiene and quality standards.
Identify and report any safety hazards or non-compliance issues.
Maintain accurate records of inspections and findings.
Work collaboratively with regulatory bodies and quality control teams.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Current level 4 qualifications in Ovine and/or Bovine meat inspection, as per the Operational Code - Red Meat Post Mortem Examination.
Strong knowledge of meat processing standards, food safety regulations, and quality control.
Excellent observational skills with a keen eye for detail.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
