About the Role
Are you an experienced registered Social Worker or registered Nurse committed to providing high quality patient focused care and looking for a new challenge?
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Registered Practitioner to join our Maternal Mental Health (MMH) team. The Maternal Mental Health Team sits alongside and is supported by Te Ara Manapou, a pregnancy and parenting service that works with whanau with addictions.
The successful applicant will join a small supportive and experienced team who provide mental health assessment and interventions for women antenatally and postnatally up to one year.
About the Team/Service/ Location
MMH comprises of a multi-disciplinary team who work collaboratively with Lead Maternity Carers, Community Mental Health, Home Based Treatment, Mental Health Inpatient Service, GPs, Psychiatrists and the Community in order to achieve best outcomes for the community of Hawkes Bay.

About you
Key attributes for applicants are a passion for positive mental health promotion and improving outcomes for people experiencing issues with their mental health.
We are looking for someone who is:
Innovative with an enthusiastic and positive attitude
Excellent clinical skills and a willingness to contribute to the ongoing development of the service.
You will need a valid New Zealand registration to be considered for this role
Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
