This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the Product and Underwriting governance team for the Consumer Portfolio. You will be responsible for leading the product management across Consumer, as well as managing training, delegations and auditing of Underwriting for the segment. This role is instrumental in developing and leading a product strategy that drives growth, delivers customer and shareholder value and supports a move toward digitisation.
Key responsibilities:
You will be accountable for the Consumer segment's Products and for supporting and implementing a move towards digitisation.
Help drive value for our customers and business partners, maximise sustainable profits and generate quality growth across the Consumer portfolio.
Oversee, monitor and manage the Underwriting governance process.
Lead training across Consumer operational teams from an Underwriting perspective.
Support the development of new opportunities.
Manage within approved portfolio and/or segment budgets.
Lead and develop the capability of others across the organisation through effective coaching, mentoring, professional development and where required, performance management.
What we are looking for:
5+ years' experience in Product or Underwriting.
Extensive experience in the insurance and/or financial services market environment, ideally within a Personal Insurance or Commercial Insurance context.
Experience of leading project related delivery, requirements and analysis; particularly in regards to digital strategy implementation.
Leadership experience related to team management.
